Dr. Moustafa Elfeki said that the Egyptian Scientist Ali Moustafa Mosharafa, the pioneer of the scientific renaissance in Egypt, was an encyclopedic figure who enriched the different fields of knowledge. He added that he was a patriotic figure who had a significant impact on the national movement and public affairs. This came as part of the “Ali Mosharafa .. Pioneer of the Scientific Renaissance” seminar that was organized by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and attended by Dr. Mosharafa’s family and a host of scientists and artists. The seminar was presented by Dr. Ismail El-Sheikha, Former Head of Alexandria TV Channel.
Dr. Elfeki expressed his delight at the BA celebration of Dr. Mosharafa, which shed light on his life and scientific achievements, and honored his family and those who contributed to highlighting his role in the scientific renaissance. He also stressed that these efforts are in line with the BA goals to revive Egyptian heritage, promote creativity, and advance the role of science.
During the seminar, Dr. Elfeki honored Dr. Salwa Ali Mosharfa, Professor of Chemistry at the National Research Center, and daughter of Dr. Ali Mosharafa, and Dr. Adel Mosharafa, Professor Emeritus of Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Science, Cairo University. He also honored the producers of the TV series Mosharafa .. A Man of this Time; Director Inaam Mohamed Ali, Scriptwriter Mohamed El-Sayed Eid, Actor Ahmed Shaker, Editor Yasser Abdel Latif, as well as Dr. Latifa Salem, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History, who worked on the historical review of this TV series.
